Ellen (she/her) specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating and provides nutrition therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of nutrition concerns. Ellen is a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) and an Approved Supervisor through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). Ellen values individualized nutrition counseling and collaborates with clients to identify nutrition goals and forms of joyful movement. Using a non-diet and weight inclusive approach she applies principles of mindfulness and intuitive eating. Ellen understands diverse personalities and temperaments and provides a supportive environment to navigate recovery. She uses compassion and kindness to create a non-judgmental space in which individuals can explore their relationship with food and find joy in eating. Prior to moving to North Carolina, Ellen received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed her dietetic internship in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ellen has extensive experience working at various levels of care including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient both in Ohio and North Carolina. Ellen meets with clients in our RTP/Brier Creek office and via telehealth.
