Ellen has been on our team since 2021 and sees clients in our North Raleigh Office. She is on our Leadership Team and focuses her leadership work on the systems of our practice. We asked Ellen some questions to learn a bit more about her and her work as an eating disorders dietitian.

1. Describe your ideal client?

I enjoy working with parents of younger kids (5-8ish), kids, and adults with feeding differences (picky eating, ARFID) and those seeking support with family feeding.

2. What three words best describe your therapeutic style with clients?

Empathetic, supportive, adaptable

3. What do you wish those struggling with eating disorders knew? Or what is one thing you wish your clients knew?

It’s worth the hard work, you can do it, we’re here to help you on your journey!

4. What does self care look like for you? 

I enjoy hiking, reading, and watching tv/movies.

5. Outside of work you can find yourself doing___________________?

I am often spending time with family and friends or completing home projects.

6. What is your favorite food?

Chocolate chip cookies….and mushrooms….and pizza.

7. If you could do another job just for a day, what would it be?

A food taster, specifically chocolate chip cookies!
